SERVPRO of Bordentown/Pemberton helps Outer Bank residents fight against the effects of black water

SERVPRO of Bordentown/Pemberton were proud to participate in the storm response for Hurricane Matthew that made landfall in the Carolinas in October of 2016. We quickly dispatched a professional crew to the Outer Banks region of North Carolina to assist the local residents with mitigation of the ravaging effects of the storm. As seen in the pictures, when our crew arrived, they found this storage area affected by flood waters. Flood waters are “black water” which is contaminated water that can contain contaminants like bacteria and viruses and can be extremely dangerous to health. Our crews immediately removed affected contents and completed structural demolition, thoroughly cleaned and dried the home to industry standards to aid in limiting exposure to health risks.
